Spy Stories:

The proper domain of ‘true’ espionage stories is fiction as non-fiction would implicate collaborators and inevitably have ‘clearance’ issues.  A group of five high level and highly esteemed ex-operatives from the Clandestine Services together with some of the best story minds in prose and screenwriting are writing 12 stories based on real events that have been chosen, in part, because they would make particularly compelling films.  Galleys available Fall 2009.  Individual stories prior.

The Cho Tapes:

A Docudrama on Seung Hui Cho and the massacre at Virginia Tech to be Directed by Mary Lambert.  The film, though horrifying is not a horror film.  It is, rather, a portrait of Seung Hui and the events leading up to the massacre much in the style of The Executioner’s Song.  In revisions.
Script available October 2008.

Esalen:

A feature documentary on Esalen Institute based on Jeff Kripal’s book, “Esalen, the Religion of No Religion.”  The film will focus on a dozen characters as their lives conjunct in a 50th Anniversary event/celebration that will that will have a major concert and will showcase Esalen’s current activities, especially Public Diplomacy initiatives and the cutting edge work of Esalen’s Center for Theory and Research.  The film will also chronicle Esalen’s extraordinary history and touch on the many great characters that have taught there – Aldous Huxley, Henry Miller, Fritz Perls, Will Schultz, Abraham Maslow, Eric Erickson, Ram Dass, Ida Rolf, Joseph Campbell, Andrew Weil, Deepak Chopra, and John Cleese among them.  Particular emphasis will be placed on Esalen’s unofficial  but extremely successful pioneering diplomatic initiative with the Soviets, which was a significant factor in ending the cold war.
